How ACC-Funded Sessions Will Work
The process to access these treatments:
Referral – You’ll need a referral from your GP, physiotherapist, or therapist requesting Rongoā Māori as part of your treatment plan.
ACC Approval – You’ll inform your ACC case manager or Assisted Recovery team of your request.
Confirmation – ACC must approve your claim and provide written confirmation, including a purchase order (PO) number, before we can begin sessions.
Once approved, sessions will be 40 minutes long and tailored to your needs.

Anyone with a current or newly approved ACC claim, including both physical injuries and sensitive claims.
No surcharge will apply for ACC-funded sessions.
